Jennifer graduated from the University of Phoenix in 2011 with an Associates of Science degree in Elementary Education, and then graduated from Walden University in 2013 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Health Studies and Communication.  She is currently earning her Master's of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from St Joseph's University, projected graduation in 2016.  She currently works at Panhandle Health District as an Administrative Assistant to the Family and Community Health division, as well as a Local Contracting Coordinator for Women's Health Check, a breast and cervical screening program.

Jennifer's passion has always been in healthcare and the care of others in the community.  Her passion started as a child with her mentor, namesake, and grandmother, Barbara Tanzey.  Through her work with the Multiple Sclerosis Society, March of Dimes, and public health, Barbara instilled a deep-rooted passion within Jennifer to follow in her footsteps by making changes in Jennifer's own community.  Inspiring small changes that can make a big difference.

Jennifer has held many different positions within healthcare, including Certified Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, Assisted Living Activities Director, and now Public Health Administration.

Jennifer currently lives in North Idaho with her husband of 10 years, 2 children, dogs and parakeets.  She loves to spend time with her family in her free time, including watching science fiction, collecting and playing classic video games, and collecting Disney memorabilia.  She also enjoys cycling and crocheting.
